What I Want To Invoke

Tue Sep 12, 2006, 5:25 AM
Staring at my pictures, over time, there are pictures that I really like, but know that noone else would, and then there are pictures that I just hate all out, and know that most people would as well. But I notice that my approach to this whole thing is rather simplistic. I try to invoke the simple things that we see each day. The things we take for granted I suppose. Like a mushroom, a silly flower, a certain stare. Most people of course think this isn't art, there is no room for this type of thing, you have to pay attention to lighting, composition, subject matter, angle, the list goes on and on. But aren't all things art? A series of events that take place in front of you is my equivelent to the third act of a best selling play, my music is crickets, birds, jackhammers, talking, it all melds together for me and invokes a spirit of.....order. Finding order in chaos... thats what I do.

Hi!
I will now give you the advice someone once gave me, and I've been passing it around ever since:
Please resize your photos, if they can't fit on the screen, noone will see them well.
In my case, if I know a photo is huge, I won't even see it at all!
I think you really need this advice, because all your best photos are enormous...

It was the first thing they had taught him and he never forgot it. He could move unobserved in daylight, too; in other ways. But the night was his special friend."
